We are a group of like-minded people who want to make a difference to the lives of young changemakers in India, by creating a nurturing web of learning and growth, within a sustainable network of Fellows, Mentors and Speakers.
The Goa School started in 2021 as a social impact enterprise, not on the lookout for profit. Its accounts are completely transparent and are available on this website. Three years and four batches later, The Goa School Trust was born in August 2024, headed by an all-women Board. The Trust supersedes the previous organizational structure, now closed — retaining all the good bits, of course. Most especially, the Trust inherited a 70-strong network of Fellows, Mentors and Speakers already involved with The Goa School.
We continue to work like a tiny start up, with a founder-director, an operations person, and have spots open for another manager, as well as a couple of management interns interested in ‘giving-back’ via The Goa School. We also have a lovely group of advisors who steer us, and some excellent volunteers who help take care of the business end of things, as part of their own ‘give-back’ efforts.
We call ourselves The Goa School because we are founded in Goa, but we reach out to Fellows across India. Mentors and Speakers join us from India and across the world.
Joost van Roon | “I support The Goa School as it is a fantastic platform to build an Indian – European network, share common competencies and develop actionable new business ideas with enthusiastic people.” Joost is an experienced entrepreneur who managed several international companies in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and provided key creative input during the formative stages of The Goa School.

Please note that The Goa School is not a ‘school’ for children. It provides technical training and mentoring support to young adults.
